All AVKOTE Paint is available in approximately 70,000 different colour combinations including an extensive metallic range. If we still do not have the right colour combination, you can design your own! |

| How long will the new coating last? |
This very much depends on the location and use of the premises. However, With regular maintenance the expected life span is in excess of ten years. In addition the coating is completely cleanable and patch repairable so, over time, maintenance cost can be significantly reduced. |

| How long will the new coating last? |
This very much depends on the location and use of the property/Industrial building. We do however provide a ten year warranty against delamination and colour fade as a result of normal atmospheric weather conditions. |

| Will the products flake, peel or crack? |
Our applicators observe the correct methods of surface preparation and paint application – this ensures good adhesion everytime. If you have experienced flaking or peeling in the past this could be due to an inappropriate paint product being used or the material has been applied incorrectly. |

| How durable are AVKOTE coatings? |
Very - AVKOTE coatings are often compared to a powder coated finish. For comparison, if you rated a powder coated finish as a 9-10 for hardness and durability (powder coating is a factory finish applied under controlled conditions), then our coatings would achieve 8-9 on the same scale. |

| How do I rectify silicone contamination? |
There are a number of means for removing silicones and these should be stringently applied where any evidence of silicones is obvious. The use of a quality degreasing solution, AVKOTE Cleaners 153b, 153 and 154, will remove small quantities of silicones.
For large scale silicone problems AVKOTE Contrasil can be added to AVKOTE LE. This will eradicated any silicone on the profile. |

| How do I stop the paint running? |
If you are experiencing runs when apply AVKOTE you are applying too much product. You will need to apply a lighter coat and check your nozzle size. For AVKOTE LE and 95% of the primer a 1.2 – 1.6 nozzle should be sufficient. For AVKOTE Universal a larger nozzle of 1.6 – 2.2 should be used. |

| The finished product has an orange peel effect – how to I rectify this? |
Too much product has been applied or the coating has been applied to quickly. You will need to adjust you gun set up, check your nozzle size and check the viscosity of the paint. If the tin lid has been left of the product for over 8 hours the paint will thicken. You will need to thin with AVKOTE 95 Thinners to a maximum of 10% by weight. |

| The coating is popping – what have I done wrong? |
The coating has been applied too quickly or too much heat has been applied to cure the coating. You will need to apply a lighter coat and/or adjust your heat control. Please see the technical data sheet for the product for further detailed information. |

| I have Inclusions in the coating – how do I stop this? |
The most common causes of inclusions in the coating are that 1. the booth filters are dirty and require changing; 2. that there is dirt in the airline. You will need to check the seals on the compressor and ensure that the airline filters are functioning properly; 3. Particles in the product – All paint should be filtered before use. |
