| Step 1: |
Check out the graffiti and surface to be cleaned. Example shown: spray paint on paint (railway carriage exterior). Test the strength level
mix required (see Introduction). |
| Step 2: |
Brush the selected strength cleaner on to the graffiti with a circular motion. If using Strip Paste use approximately 200 grams per square
metre. Do not apply to more than one square metre. Leave for approximately 5 minutes depending on the type of graffiti, the degree of
contamination and the type of surface. |
| Step 3: |
With a brush work the paste and fluid together with the graffiti to a smeary paste until the surface underneath begins to re-appear. |
| Step 4: |
Do not use a high pressure hose immediately on painted surfaces to clean off the mixture of paste, fluid and dissolved graffiti. Instead,
wipe excess from the surface using a rubber window wiper. |
| Step 5: |
Test the newly revealed paint surface to ensure that the cleaners have not softened the paint. Then clean off the remaining mixture of
paste and dissolved graffiti with water or a pressure hose. |
| Step 6: |
To ensure the newly cleaned paint retains its gloss and shrugs off any further graffiti, coat the paint surface with AVKOTE FLOWSEAL (2
pack). This self-levelling gloss sealer is easy to apply using a lambswool pad. FLOWSEAL rejuvenates the paint surface, sealing out
moisture, which can cause chalking, and gives protection from weathering and brake dust. FLOWSEAL also acts as a very effective anti-
graffiti coating. It creates a barrier to protect the paint surface from further graffiti and graffiti removal cleaners. It can be removed like a
sacrificial coating with the graffiti clinging to it using AVKOTE Strip Paste and Fluid. After removal simply re-apply FLOWSEAL to the
affected area.
